Protected Energy Support – ALBA GLUC 45 Coated
ALBA GLUC 45 Coated is a highly concentrated source of rumen-protected glucose developed to provide dairy cows with readily available energy during the transition period and early lactation. The product contains at least 45% glucose, enclosed within a protective coating made from vegetable-origin fatty acids, fats and calcium carbonate. This structure allows the glucose to bypass a significant part of rumen fermentation and reach the small intestine, where it can be absorbed and used more efficiently. By supplying a direct source of energy during phases of high metabolic demand, ALBA GLUC 45 supports cows when energy requirements increase rapidly due to calving and milk production, helping maintain metabolic balance, body condition and productive performance
Microencapsulation for Controlled Energy Delivery
ALBA GLUC 45 Coated is produced through spray-cooling microencapsulation technology, which forms solid, spheroidal microprills containing glucose dispersed within a protective lipid matrix. This technology reduces losses of the active ingredient at rumen level, increases its bioavailability and provides controlled release, high flowability, low dust formation and excellent miscibility with complete feeds, mineral feeds and premixes. The product also remains stable during the pelletisation process, making it suitable for different feed manufacturing systems. The recommended dosage is 200–350 g per cow per day, adjusted according to the animal’s stage of lactation. ALBA GLUC 45 is supplied in 25 kg cartons with polyethylene inner bags and maintains its guaranteed activity for 24 months when stored sealed in a cool, dry place
