TRIBUTY PLUS is a complementary feed solution formulated with a broad combination of tributyrin, sodium formate, formic acid and citric acid, developed to support the normal digestive function of livestock animals. Its balanced acidifying action helps lower the pH of the gastrointestinal tract, creating less favourable conditions for the development of harmful bacteria while supporting more efficient digestion. By improving the breakdown and utilisation of nutrients, TRIBUTY PLUS can contribute to better feed conversion, increased daily weight gain and fewer digestive disorders. The formulation contains 350 g/kg of tributyrin, together with sodium formate, formic acid, citric acid and silica, making it a concentrated solution suitable for inclusion in complete feed at the recommended dosage of 200 g per 1,000 kg of feed
Dual Action Through pH Reduction and Antimicrobial Activity
The effectiveness of TRIBUTY PLUS is based on two principal mechanisms: the reduction of gastrointestinal pH through the dissociation of organic acids and the direct antimicrobial effect of their undissociated form. A lower stomach pH supports gastric enzyme secretion, nutrient degradation and digestion in the small intestine, leaving fewer undigested nutrients available to pathogenic microorganisms. Tributyrin, the glycerol ester of butyric acid, helps reduce the characteristic pungent smell and irritating effect associated with free butyric acid. Once glycerol is used by bacteria, butyric acid is released and can penetrate harmful bacterial cells, where it dissociates and interferes with their normal activity. Through this combined action, TRIBUTY PLUS supports intestinal balance, digestive efficiency and animal growth performance, while helping reduce the impact of undesirable gastrointestinal microflora.
