ALBA ESSENTIAL is a nutritional solution formulated with monolaurin derived from lauric acid and a concentrated blend of natural essential oils. Each kilogram contains 200,000 mg of monolaurin and 300,000 mg of essential oils, combined with dextrose and sodium chloride as carriers. The product is designed to help strengthen the animal organism, improve the balance of the gastrointestinal microflora and increase resistance to intestinal challenges. Its nutritional action supports general health, growth performance, fertility and feed efficiency, while helping reduce the negative effects of environmental and production-related stress. ALBA ESSENTIAL may also be used as supplementary nutritional support after vaccination and during antibiotic or other therapeutic treatments. In laying hens, its benefits include supporting laying performance and egg quality, while in growing animals it can contribute to improved performance and a more efficient feed conversion ratio.
Synergistic Antibacterial Action of Monolaurin and Essential Oils
The activity of ALBA ESSENTIAL is based on the synergistic combination of dry lauric acid derivatives and selected essential oils. According to the product documentation, this blend provides a broad antibacterial action against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, including relevant strains such as Salmonella and Escherichia coli. It also helps control bacterial contamination in feed and raw materials, contributing to a healthier digestive environment and supporting the natural defences of the animals. For broilers, the flyer recommends differentiated quantities during the first, third and fifth weeks of life, while laying hens receive 100 g per 1,000 birds. For other species, the indicated dosage is 100–300 mg per kilogram of body weight, with a general drinking-water dosage of 1 g per 10–15 litres. The product is available in 1 kg sachets and 25 kg bags and has a shelf life of 24 months when stored in its original packaging in a cool, dry place.
