Its concentrated formulation combines L-carnitine and sorbitol with selected botanical ingredients, including liquorice extract, garlic extract containing allicin, eucalyptus essential oil and Olea europaea fruit oil. These ingredients are designed to provide broad nutritional support during periods in which organ function, immunity and animal performance may be compromised. The product’s phytochemical components act as natural prebiotic and immunostimulant substances, helping reinforce non-specific resistance against pathogens, including viral challenges. According to the product documentation, RECO LITCH is particularly indicated as nutritional support in cases involving entero-pathogenic and nephro-pathogenic forms of IBH, sudden-death syndromes and conditions affecting the liver, kidneys and spleen. Its diuretic properties are intended to support kidney health, while its liver-stimulating activity contributes to maintaining better general condition and productive performance.

The mode of action of RECO LITCH is based on the complementary activity of its selected phyto-extracts and metabolic nutrients. The botanical fraction contains compounds such as saponins, alkaloids, terpenes, organosulphur compounds and polyphenols, which provide antiviral activity and help inhibit the development of pathogens. L-carnitine contributes to the transport and utilisation of fatty acids, supporting energy metabolism and helping maintain efficient liver and kidney activity, while sorbitol provides additional nutritional support for hepatic function. Through this combined action, RECO LITCH is designed to help improve alterations affecting the liver, kidneys and spleen, strengthen immune-system activity and support the recovery of animal health and performance. The recommended use is 20–30 ml per 100 birds for three to five days, or 1.25 ml per litre of drinking water for two to five days; for preventive use, the flyer recommends half of the standard dosage. The product has no indicated withdrawal period, a shelf life of 24 months and is available in 1-litre bottles and 25-litre canisters.
