ALBA-ARTHRO is a balanced liquid nutritional supplement developed to support the formation, mineralisation and maintenance of a strong skeletal system in poultry, laying hens, pullets, beef cattle and dairy cows. Its formulation combines highly available macro-minerals and chelated trace elements with specific nutrients such as chondroitin sulphate, glucosamine, vitamin D3, methionine, choline and biotin. Calcium chloride and orthophosphoric acid contribute to mineral availability, while manganese, zinc and copper in chelated form support efficient absorption and utilisation. This complete nutritional approach is particularly important during periods of rapid growth, when skeletal development may not keep pace with increasing body weight and production demands. ALBA-ARTHRO helps optimise mineral metabolism, support bone development and maintain the integrity of the musculoskeletal system, while also contributing to immune function and overall animal performance.
Supporting Skeletal Strength and Resistant Eggshell Formation
Rapid growth, intensive production and insufficient mineral availability can lead to reduced bone mineralisation and increase the risk of conditions such as rickets, osteomalacia and osteoporosis. In laying hens, an inadequate nutritional balance may also result in thin, brittle or poorly formed eggshells, affecting egg quality and production profitability. The synergistic combination of calcium, vitamin D3, glucosamine, chondroitin and chelated minerals in ALBA-ARTHROhelps establish a solid nutritional foundation for strong bones, healthy joints and a resistant eggshell structure. Its use can also support animals presenting growth depression, poor immunity or other signs associated with mineral imbalance. The recommended dosage ranges from 500–1,000 ml per 1,000 litres of drinking water for poultry, layers and pullets, generally for three to seven days, while dairy cattle may receive 200–300 ml per animal per day. The final dosage should be adapted according to the species and the health status of the animals.
